I'm working on a "88 convertible resto which I just replaced the front floor in, but without a good donor car to cut the floor from, repairing what I just did would be near impossible. I'd estimate 50 hours of work so far on it, and this one was a freebie(for a good cause). If I had to do it again? $1000-$1500 would be in the ballpark. Less repair would of course be less money.
I'm charging the guy $300 to repair the A-frame section, but I took into consideration he could have bought a repair kit from Safe-T Cap for $200 > then would have had to pay me to weld it in for another $200 or so. Not too many shops would even attempt the repair for liability reasons, an no shops where he lives does any type of body repair.
