block was resurfaced, cleaned and the cylinders were ball- honed.
Pistons were disassembled and cleaned, the rods were resized and were reassembled with new bushes, circlips,e tc.
By the way these are 83 900T pistons, so in an SPG block will give me about 8.25:1 CR i'm told. I am worried about too much piston clearance, but short of buying custom pistons, there's no solution to that.
the Crank is also from an 83 900T, and has been miked and polished - that's it.
what sort of clearances do you find when plastigaging con rod bearings on these older engines? I'm told that rod bearing clearances are more critical vs. mains...
