My car has been on jackstands for 2 weeks, waiting for the final part to complete my 3" exhaust. I finally got the part today, bolted it all together and fired it up. Within 5 minutes, I had water *almost* running out of a flanged joint in the exhaust system, right in front of the muffler. The fact that its dripping there, an exhaust leak of course, is a whole different problem, I know. In that five minutes, I had a 12" round puddle where it was leaking.
Is that normal? Would the fact that it was sitting for 2 weeks have anything to do with it? The gas tank is nearly empty. Would that make a difference? Would living in a hot, humid area (dallas) make a difference? I'm just hoping its not a head problem. Thats my biggest fear.
