92 900 - I had my hazard flasher making buzzing noises - then finally one side of the turn signals began to work. I thought it was the flasher of course, but after reading this I thought I'd clean the switch first. It pulls straight out - carefully - I pulled the rear defrost first as it's more accessible. Then I carefully opened it up, four small clips at the base - don't break it. There's a spring and the slider for the latch-on/off mechanism that you have to watch out for. After cleaning the contacts carefully, I put flat-style toothpicks through the holes that clip the base on. This holds the contacts open far enough to allow me to push the base back in. Get the base well started and slip the toothpicks out, watching the alignment of the on/off latch that floats around a bit. Reinstalled, and voila! Four flashers working.
Just thought I'd post this as it saved me some bucks. Thanks!!!
