Armor-All.
Their standard product will work just fine.
THey also make one that is not as shiny, flat black.
Get the thing good and clean first.
THen get it really, really dry. THe white is what happens when you put the stuff on with water still around.
It will soak up a lot. Reapply hours later. I worked it in with my hands. Do more the next day. After all this it should look a lot better. Cheap, too.
