I obvisouly thought the black wires were the grounds so I kept that connection and switched the other two wires and it still wouldnt start.
when the car broke down I mean I noticed the hall sensor connector was half way melted and thought it was a no brainer. However after I was able to seperate the wiring harness connection from the distributor it appeared as if a connection could still have been made. it wasnt pretty though.
there appered to be no nother damage to the distributor. is there some sort of secondary issues this could have caused this to fail. a fuse? I will try another distributor but im skeptical. the spark plug wires were in the area of the hot exhaust but the sheilding and everything seems ok. could they have melted internally? thanks for your help.
