1. Changed timing from 23deg to 15deg.
2. regapped plugs. 2 were dead on, 2 were a bit wide.
3. Swapped from 500 or so mile Castrol 10W30 to Mobil 1 10W30 (which was for my vert...), new filter.
4. Fill-up with 87 octane from 76, plus a bottle of "guaranteed to pass". Once this tank is done, we'll fill up with more 87 from 76 and retest.
5. Hid my EGR temp sensor "fake-out" resistor by taping it up and taping the sensor harness in the mess. Then stuffing all that under the intake manifold. Hope he doesn't see that! On test 3 he got me on that for "functional failure", in addition to emissions failure.
I managed to lose a set of my vert keys while out for brunch and errands. My wife went back and found them in the parking area while I was tinkering on the cars. What a gem!
