Ess Pee Gee? Or Not Ess Pee Gee? That is the question.

At least, my question.
This afternoon I scavenged two APCs from cars that had SPG cladding on them and dark grey leather interiors. The 1986 bore VIN # YS3AD35L5G2029045.
The 1990 VIN was YS3AL35L2L3007205. Were they original SPGs or just dressed up to look the part? Is there any way to tell from the APCs if they are the SPG version? Could be non-SPG replacing original, or SPG added along with cladding to a non-SPG car, I reckon.
Also, should I take the time to grab the cladding? All of it's there on the 86, all but driver side bumper side piece on the 90. I'm not e-Bay savvy or interested in packing stuff to ship, and not really out to get bucks, just don't want to see it go to the crusher. (Mine's a 4 door and I don't even really have any yearning for the SPG look.)
The 86 still has the wheels, the 90 is shoeless.
Anything else to grab?
