Mark,
A no-start condition could be caused by the Hall Effect sensor's plug becoming disconnected. It's on the (driver's) side of the distributor. Make sure it's seated and not cracked (receptacle on distributor is fragile when old).
It might help to take out the floorboards in the trunk and get a friend to man a voltmeter (set to appropriate range for measuring 12 volts DC) at the fuel pump. It's beneath the larger circular hole (beneath a metal cap) on the driver's side of the trunk. While friend has voltmeter connected to wires going to fuel pump, do this: to have voltage at the pump for testing, you remove the fuel pump relay in the fusebox and use a jumper wire to connect terminals 30 & 87. This will power the fuel pump and the frequency valve on inner fender (which will buzz). With this jumpered, try checking the voltage at the fuel pump. Should be 12 volts or maybe 12.5 volts. If the pump runs and/or you get voltage with terminals 30 & 87 jumpered, you might have a Hall Effect sensor or other ignition problem.
Also, check the ground point for the fuel pump, located (among other electrical items' grounds) in the trunk below the wooden floor. If it's rusty, diconnect your negative battery cable, then unbolt this grounding bolt in the trunk and clean bolt, grounding lugs, and the actual metal point on the car body where the bolt screws in.
That's about all I can think of at the moment.
Hope this helps!
