the spring that Roger was talking about. He has an '86. I seem to remember that you were looking at a '90 or something similar.
Is it that you just can't find 5th or does it go into position and nothing happens?
If you just can't find 5th with the reverse collar down, it's possible that adjusting the shifter might do the trick.
Go over to the Townsend Imports site and take a look at their shifter adjustment page.
