hard start - 93 octane related?

My '79 900gle has been running beautifully as of late - tuned up, new warm-up reg, fuel accumulator, mixture balanced by the local indy saab expert

However - yesterday, I filled up on 93octane (it was surprisingly cheap so I figured what the heck), which I haven't used in months, but from the same gas station I usually go to.

Since then, it's taken 30-45 sec of continuous cranking to fire up, and the idle seems to be not what it was.

Is this due to the new gas? Bad gas? Or has something gone awry coincidentally at the same time as my gassing up?
