First of all, there are definitely a lot of things to remove in order to get the carpet out. I wasn't expecting that. I hope I remember to hook everything back up (and know where it all goes).

Second, you find an awful lot of change on the floor. I must have made enough to buy myself a beer (I'm gonna need it).

Third, there is a white felt/cotton pad encased in clear plastic that runs under the shift linkage/bar. This is saturated as well. Should I remove it? How do I dry that if it's in plastic? What's it for?

Fourth, there is a connector next to the shifter with 2 orange wires. I assume this to be for the lighting within the auto gear selector (mine is a 5-spd). Correct?

Fifth, there is a connector under the rear seat pass. side with a blue wire and a black wire. I assume this to be for engine diagnostics (ISAT). It comes out of what appears to be an ECU. Correct?

Sixth, where in the world is all this water coming from? It doesn't smell like coolant, so I think it is all from rain. It is not wet up against the firewall, so I'm thinking it's coming in from the side windows. But how? I never see rain dripping down the inside of the windows, even when I have washed the car.

Seventh, there is a complete set up for a Motorola phone hooked up. Only thing is that one wire was cut that I believe to have been for the phone cradle. Was this a Saab accessory? Everything was hooked up cleanly and professionally, as if by a dealer. I removed the auxilliary antennae from the trunk lid when I bought the car (I still have it). Is this something I should look into resurrecting since CT now requires hands-free cell phone usage in cars? If so, where do I get the phone hook-up that was cut out? There is also a microphone still hooked up high on the A-pillar driver's side.

Eighth, there is no rust anywhere, so thank the Saab Gods on that one!

Whew, I think that's it...
