Bleeding new Clutch Master Cylinder?

This morning my clutch pedal went to zero. I'd been babying both it and the brakes for awhile and had already purchased a new Master Cylinder and Clutch Master Cylinder.
I babied it home and proceeded to replace both of them. I sort of bench bled both of them and the Master Cylinder works fine. Brakes appear to be great but I can't get any clutch pedal at all.
I've got a Pump to bleed with but it doesn't have a pressure cap for the reservoir. Is there any way to bleed the Clutch Master Cylinder system without a pressure cap for the reservoir? It's more limp than when I began
Also, I'm wondering whether the slave cylinder might be bad now?
