Earlier today I replaced the airbox/snorkel setup with an open K&N. I now have an amazing throaty sound on accelleration and the sound of air being sucked in plus a little bit of turbo whine. I also imagine that it pulls harder but even if it doesn't I kind of care about the cool noise more. The weird noise comes when I shift; on putting in the clutch after being on boost I get a rapid CH-CH-Ch-Ch-ch-ch-- noise. I kind of expected maybe a PSHHHhhhhh from the bypass valve. Is this a normal sound? Additionally, another sound that's existed since before today is a WHOooooo noise ascending before boost comes on and descending when going back to vacuum. I was thinking maybe that suggested a bad hooter valve but it seems to hold vacuum (I've only checked it by sucking on the hose, so I don't know if that is a foolproof test). If anyone knows what things should sound like I'd appreciate it, thanks,
