The proper place is also the most difficult place to reach. The bolt behind alternator that also serve as the bolt for lower A/C comp bracket attachment.
On older 900, the proper place was the lower Allen bolt under the alternator but Saab changed the place to that upper alternator bracket bolt with 12mm hex head.
Some people bolt the alternator ground strap to one of the oil filter housing bolts and other up to the A/C comp bolt and some to the dip stick bracket bolt and then some..... and the list goes on and on and on.
The green/white wire I assume is the amp lamp wire that you push onto the blade connector on alternator.
The red/white I'm not sure about. The wire for the oil pressure sender is blue.
