Can one "mouse" seatbelt only be disabled?

Our Saab has those silly 'mouse' seatbelts that scoot back and forth above the door when you get in. We hate them. And now one of them sticks mid-mousetrack and drains the battery. So we hate them even more.
We got the mouse to stay in the safe, locked position, but now we don't want it to move and get stuck again. Meanwhile, one of the belts still works fine.
There doesn't seem to be a fuse under the hood for the seatbelts: is there one somewhere and, even better, are there TWO - one for each side? Ideally, we'd like to 'de-fuse' one mouse and let the other run until it also dies.
