Hmmm. . . can't imagine they'd ever be glued on, although I've sure thought so at times. I generally take a pliers and try to gently move it from side to side to break it free while pulling "STRAIGHT" out. The last thing you want to do is bend the shaft in any way. Sooner or later they come off. IMHO, this is something you only have to do once--right after you buy a car from someone who neglected to periodically replace the rotor.
