That could be a solution -- wrapping the battery that is, but I like this website as they have some exhaust pipe wrap. I want to wrap my downpipe to try to reduce the underhood temps. Now that we have winter, it is not an issue, but in the spring, I plan to give my downpipe a wrapping, send the intake through the inner firewall freeing up the intercooler as I will remove the air cleaner canister. Mounting a fan on the back side of the intercooler will help in the hot summer months, and then there will be room to relocate the battery to the "cool" side of the engine bay.
Another solution I heard about is to use a dry cell battery -- more expensive though.
