I'd vote that your starter and/or starter solenoid is shot. Simple tests...check for voltage at your starter on the big lug coming off the battery. If 12 volts or above, that's good. Now, with car in neutral (or park if automatic) use a short jumper wire between the big lug on the starter and the spade terminal on the solenoid. This spade terminal will have I believe a yellow wire on it. If nothing happens, then the solenoid is shot. If the starter cranks the engine, then you more than likely have a problem with the ignition switch.

Replacing the solenoid involves removing the starter. There are three phillips head screws holding it onto the starter.
