Joe98, That whining is almost surely the throw-out bearing. You can't go wrong by replacing the whole list (if you've got the jack) but if you have the luxery of not ordering the parts until you see the old ones on the bench then I'd yank it out, look at the flywheel (is it smooth and flat but not glazed) and maybe get it surfaced. Look hard at the pilot bearing. Those are so cheap that it seems foolish to leave an old one in. Look at the clutch cover, you want the same sort of "brake rotor" finish on the pressure plate and no gouges or grooves and no loose rivets or pieces. If it appears to have ever been really hot then it may not be flat anymore, but you say it works fine now right? (So it's flat).
So minimally you could just replace the pilot bearing, throw-out bearing, friction disk, clutch slave, clutch shaft seal, rear main seal and just de-glaze the flywheel and pressure plate with a little 150 grit wet/dry paper (some guys use 80 grit, ouch!). I see very little evidence that clutch cover springs on C900s lose their tension in normal use. As RayF said, stick with the OEM parts especially the seals. Cheers.
