Life is good, especially with a Saab (long, rambling)

I got the '93TC out of storage today. Everything works and it runs great. It'd been leaving a little spot of oil on the garage floor when I put it up, but it seems to have cured itself--there wasn't a drop under the car where it had sat for three months. The cruise even works. The sun had come out (42 degrees) by the time I took the grandson home so we put the top down. I was suppose to give the grand daughter (age 6) a ride to a birthday party but I was half an hour early. We mutually decided to take a ride by the beach. I put in the "Michael MacDonalds Greatest Hits" CD my son gave me for Christmas and it was just PERFECT. The grand daughter (who now has her own taste in music) was really grooving to it. As we arrived at the party, she turned to me and said "Grampa, I really like the Saab." When I think of all the top down fun our family has had in this car I've come to realize it isn't just "my" car anymore-it's a family hierloom. The grand children absolutely love to play "roller coaster" on a curvy, hilly road near our house and every summer many grand anventures begin and end in the Saab. I've had a lot of fun and interesting cars in my life, but none seem to have been as much fun as my Saabs. Even the NG900 at some point puts a big smile on my face every commute, coming and going. Life is good, but owning a Saab is that extra bit of spice that makes it great.
