The problem with the OEM headliner is the cellular foam that the felt is attached to. It disintegrates over time. Heat is the primary culpret. Approximate lifespan is about 7 years. Your best option is to get a headliner that does not have the foam backing. Check with an automotive upholstery shop. My local shop has some gray liner that was thick felt (no cellular foam). Worked like a charm. It was in good shape 11 yrs later when I got rid of the car. The 3M 90 adhesive is the adhesive of choice. I have heard good things about the Tollhatten kit, but never have seen it.
