the contacts get pitted and burn, just like good old points in the days of points. you need to remove all of the gunk you just put on them. get an emery board from your SO or wife, start with the more coarse side and buff the surfaces, finish with the fine side. You can take the switches completely apart to make this easier for access to the contacts. resistance in the contacts means less voltage to run the windows. and as if that wasn't bad enough, more resistance means more pitting which means... see where this is going? On your next trip to ye olde junke yarde pull apart some of the 2 packs from a 2 door or convertible or a 4 pack from a four door and pop out the switches only. the only one that is different is the drivers door that has the one touch down mode. The last years of the 900 may have also had this on the front passenger, look at the number of spade contacts on the switches.
