>>>Should I also have the wheel bearings replaced?

Not necessary unless you're *certain* the CVs are making the noise.

>>>Other issues: I get a squeak at low-speeds when turning hard right,
>>>brakes not applied. Also, a rumble over bumps, which I suspect is a ball
>>>joint as it sounds like what the other side was doing before I had that
>>>ball joint replaced.

I'd replace the balljoints.

>>>Should I go ahead and replace the lower control arms while everything
>>>else is out?

Not necessary. Just clean the arms very well close to where they are welded to the round bar through which the bushings go, and periodically inspect for cracks.

>>>Any suspension bushings?

At 145K? The only ones I'd bother changing are the shock bushings. If in a pinch for time, or you can't remove the upper bolts, just do the lowers.

>>>I get a shake or shimmy sometimes while accelerating, nothing like my
>>>old Taurus which had bad motor mounts, but I can't think of what else it
>>>could be; I seem to recall reading here that one of the engine mounts is
>>>prone to going bad, driver's side IIRC, could this be the culprit?

"Shake or shimmy" is a bit vague. Could be a bad inner driver.

>>>Anything else that should be done while the motor mount is being replaced?

If you do have a bad mount, maybe inspect the power steering bushings and replace if they've cracked/squished out of the mounting.

>>>I've read about oil-pump O-rings needing replacement

If there's no leaking, then there's no sense in replacing, which is a PITA IMO.

>>>and idler pulleys.

There's only one -- for the A/C. The crank pulley will "tell" you when it's dying by making a screeching noise on start-up.

>>>Alternator bushings?

Yes, do these. Use rubber bushings, NOT aftermarket polyurethane, which are crap. Make sure the thick, black ground wire on the alt. is in good shape when you do the job.

>>>Also, I get a gurgling, watery sound coming from behind the dashboard
>>>when I start my car, but I don't recall noticing it any other time, any
>>>ideas WTF that is?

It's coolant in your heater core, which is behind the center console.

Good luck with your business...
