Sorry for that earlier post by accident.
Turns out it isn't the Fuel Pressure Regulator. Took one off my 1989 900TC and installed it, changed the spark plugs that were all carboned up and same thing. Absolutely won't fire with the fuse in the fuel pump socket. Pull the fuse and it starts but runs rough. When it's running rough and I pop the fuse back in, it stalls immediately.
Any more ideas?
Thanks for your help thus far.
Norm

1987 900T Convert with 250K+ Kms. Car has been a little finiky lately. Starts Ok but a few times over the past 2 weeks when the car stalled through my own fault it would not start again for 20-30 minutes. Tonight this happened and 2 hours later it will not go. I pull the fuel pump fuse and it will start and sputter and cough but as soon as I put it under any load it stalls. When I plug the fuse back in it stalls immediately and won't start again till I pull the fuse...and of course the sickening smell of a flooded engine is everywhere. I just want to get home after a 19 hour day
any ideas?
Thanks
Norm
