I'm getting really good boost on my '91 spg, but as I reach the apex of the acceleration curve in 3rd, 4th, 5th gear I always get a sudden loss of all acceleration that throws me forward. I'm pretty sure that it's the overpressure switch kicking in and cutting off the fuel pump. I know I can't easily override the switch because it isn't under the dash in my car. I'm thinking the only way to stop the jolting is to adjust the wastegate so that I don't get as much pressure from my turbo hitting the overpressure switch. is that the best way? is there any way I can keep my boost and avoid the overpressure switch jolting? I have an upgraded APC - not the most agressive version, but the medium upgrade.
