It's a car with ABS. The master cylinder assembly alone costs 1400 bucks! I've considered converting mine to non-ABS. On a non-ABS car you're probably not looking at much more than $500 for all new pads, rotors, calipers and master cylinder.

I don't know if you'll find a shop that is willing to convert the car back to non-ABS specs. Probably some liability fears as well as the trouble of re-routing brake lines.
