Yes, I think so....is the space the same diameter as the pulley sleeve, and similar in appearance to the crankshaft seal (smaller diameter than the crankshaft seal)?
If so, then YES...
Oddly enough, the spacer came off BEFORE the pulley came off the crankshaft...it almost seems like the spacer was between the harmonic balancer and the alternator pulley...could that be right?
Supposedly, there's a piece that has to come off the old pulley to work with the hall effect timing sensor - I'll have to check other posts on this piece, and what it's actually called.
I see a metal ring on the back of the old harmonic balancer with two ~1/3- of-the-circumference-of-the-pulley size metal protrusions. It this the piece to move to the new pulley (harmonic balancer)?
