Hello all and this is my first post on Saabnet. I recently purchased a 1988 Saab 900 SPG with 120k miles. I did an engine swap and it went very well.

Here is my problem. My APC valve was clicking off and on for a while (off when the brake pedal was hit, or when it felt like it). I would have full boost then base boost a few minutes after. Then finally I just have base boost and cant figure it out.

In the last few days, the valve was just clicking loudly. I broke the connector on the knock sensor and wire nutted another connector in. This connector does not have the thick shield on it.

I would put the key in the on position and the valve would click away. Then all of a sudden when I got home this evening I could put the key on the on position and no clicking. I could turn the key and hear the valve turn on and off and thats it. Took it for a drive and it only had base boost. Now what?

Should I redu the knock sensor connection and put the shield on + clean/replace the knock sensor?
