You wrote that you are running "less advanced." But advancing static timing from 16 to 20 is MORE advance, not less, and can be harmful to your engine. When you do this, you are simultaneously reducing the max boost retard by 4* (that is, less advanced). This is way too little boost retard for a turbo Saab.

Also note that the more advance you run, the hotter the car runs.
