Jak Stoll posted not too long ago on the Perf. board to alway break in a new journal bearing turbo (or engine) with dino oil, as it allows the mating surfaces to wear-in together.
That said, last year I dropped a new TE05 center section into my 900, and got no such instructions from the local turbo shop who sold it to me. I've been running Mobil One 0w40 ever since - not sure what to be looking for regarding an improper turbo break-in...
Hopefully this thread will gather some more opinions...
