Do the one closest to the firewall.
Below is a link to the Townsend Imports page on adjusting the shifter - It's pretty straightforward.
Two comments on the procedure:
- I don't use the special tool that the page mentions. I just pull the shift rod coming from the transmission all the way back and make sure that it clicks in to locate third gear.
- The easiest way to access the shift coupler pinch bolt to loosen the shift coupler is to take the driver's side tire off, get about 2-1/2 or 3 feet of extensions, and go in through the porthole that the steering rack tie rod goes through. (Thanks Chadwick!)
