Well, as one who bought a new car once--in 1968--and used cars with 100,000+ miles ever since, there is a lot to be said for retaining a reliable unit or acquiring it!, almost regardless of mileage. The tradeoff, of course, is convenience vs overall cost (new is higher overall cost, but less shop time--hopefully, older is usually less cost but more hassle with small fixes). And whether you do some/most of the work yourself.
Regardless...both you and your cars, present and former, seem happy.
