It may be possible for you to remove the whole thing- caliper, retainer, and rotor- and work it off the hub that way. I do this when the morons that do rebuilds put odd-sized slider bolts in and I can't get those out. Get the whole bunch off, then pull out the outer pad by sliding the slider and pad around, then take out the inner pad (attached to the piston by a spring clip, it'll take a screwdriver).
While you're soaking things with penetrant, hit the brake fluid supply line fitting and rotor set screw (if so-equipped).
