are you absolutely sure it's tranny fluid dripping, and not engine oil coming from a leak further up? Honda MTF shouldn't be any different from 10-30W with respect to the gaskets on the tranny. I changed over at 175K, and haven't had any leaks (7K so far)--- but, I didn't have to pull the rear cover or otherwise disturb the old gaskets, since the '87 has a drain plug...
