Here are a couple of questions to ask and check for yourself:
Did they remove the rear cover to drain the old oil?
And, when they replaced it, did they put in a new gasket and tighten all the bolts to the correct torque?
The reason that I'm asking is that my project car had a transmission that had been recently rebuilt by a well-known, three-letter rebuilder that does C900 transmissions for SAAB. The transmission has a dandy crack in it that developed after less than 20k miles. Turns out that it lost its oil and developed catastrophic damage because the bolts that hold the rear cover and inner driver bearing carriers to the case were less than finger tight. Both the cover and the inner driver bearing carrier could be easily moved around by hand.
It's worth checking.
