Awesome Road Car! (long)

I may be preaching to the converted here, but I just did a 2000 Km road trip in my new-to-me'88 900T, and I must say I was completely blown away! It was the first long trip I could do in it after I had a bunch of little things rebuilt after neglect by the PO. The drive was a great fall drive thru some extreme mountain roads and this car pulled like a goat! The few cars I encountered got eaten like lunch while passing up-hill on 7% grades! I cannot believe that there are only 4 cylinders up front!
Of course now I want to keep the car for a long time, and got to thinking what are the pieces that are going to get rare in the near future?,what should a person start socking away? and how long are most parts going to be manufactured for this car?
It would seem to me that SAAB could start making old 900's again and do a brisk business! The car has everything a person needs for safe motoring without all the useless electronics and doo-dads plaguing new cars.
I have access to all kinds of newer cars, and have driven most marques, but in a heart beat, I would pick this 18 year old car for a similiar trip again.
