There is something about a shiny black SPG with tinted windows..hmm...no nonsense....attitude! Keep the shiny SPG wheels.
Yet, notice the black spgs are not as common as the Edwardian grey...
I recall about fifteen years ago, waitng for a redlight in my walnut brown 1984 900T. The weather was cold and I was on a first date with a beautiful woman. My hands were wandering up her dress..with an eye guaging the traffic light.
Then from the right of the intersection...a shiny low Saab SPG slowly crawled across, aggressive sie cladding, its large shiny wheels seamingly flipping, doing cartwheels.
From my closed window, I could hear that distinctive gargling exhaust. The car, lower than my three door 900T appeared like a weird animal, hunting for something.. My jaw dropped.
As my date was asking me; "what is wrong?" (my hand had drop from her legs upon seeing that car) I turned to her, and ask like a little child and pointed: "Look at that Saab; that is an SPG..it looks so wicked... Damn!that car is beautiful" Well she did not understand, a bit pissed..maybe even affected the date.
Yet is is funny, I will always remember that scene. It locked into my mind.
Would anyone care to contribute his/her first impression of seeing their favorite Saab?
