I ended up reusing the bushings from the lower one. I tried to install a new bushing but bodged it up pretty well. It was handy having some spare old lower A-arm bushing assemblies.

Take a real close look at the one on the other side - maybe swab off the grease with solvent to carefully inspect for a crack. On my car, the crack on the unbroken A-arm was pretty obvious.

If your tripod joint didn't spin out and tear the boot, you lucked out.
