my 85 always fails the dyno test and every few years they LOWER the limits again even on older cars whcih is ridiculous. It's a way of forcing older cars off the road. I get hugely steamed about this so forgive the rant....my car works flawlessly, does 30 mpg and 10 years ago passed emissions easily with the same numbers...(I keep the receipts).
Now I have to show $500.00 of invoices each year to get a 'waiver' as a 'gross polluter'. My numbers are waaaay better than JoeK's.
Oh...and don't forget that dyno test....you just know one year the tester will drive my classic through the brick wall in front of the dyno.
Cannot wait for exemption status when my 85 is 26 years old...(2011).
Oh...and my sticker in the car remindsd testers never to jack the back axle.
