I just had a better listen to it a few minutes ago. It's actually hard to tell if it occurs in other gears. If so, it's lower in pitch.
It's almost like it only really starts when you engage 5th. If you maintain highway speed (say 60 mph) and downshift to 4th, it seems like it goes away but could just be drowned out by engine noise. But once you shift back to 5th, the noise seems to really start. Can one gear be so noisy like this?
I'm not really looking forward to pulling this mess out again...
