Alright in the spirit of saving you some money:
Do you have a check engine light?
Check the connection on the Air Mass meter... pull it off. if it looks shiny/silvery on all connections, you're probably fine. Sometimes they get corroded causing all sorts of problems.
Another thing to check... unlikely but possible you don't smell any fuel smell do you? Its possible a leaking fuel line could maybe cause this but I'd bet you'd REALLY smell it if this was the case. If you go listen by the fuel pump, is it making any weird noises or grinding sounds you've never heard before (the high pitched whine is a-ok).
Once the car warms up does this go away? can you even get it that far so that it warms up?
I'm still thinking massive vacuum leak here. Underhood do you hear any weird sucking type of noises?
