I'm all for clean air & taking care of the environment - probably more so than most (the wife & I generate only a 1/2 filled plastic grocery bag of garbage every two weeks...everything else gets recycled or composted - every other house on the street has at least x3 overflowing 35gal trash cans at the curb every Wednsday...pisses me off), but pjkbrit has a point - there's a conspiracy afoot! I don't want to get on a rant of my own (too late!) & I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir if not telling everyone something they already know, but what about the gov. mandated fuel additives? Lowered emissions my a$$! MTBE & several other alcohol based oxygenates are CORROSIVE & actually causes increased fuel consumption!!! How are less emissions going to be produced when every car on the road is now burning MORE FUEL!?!! We're talking 10-15% worse fuel economy! It's complete bullsh!t. The politics at work here are shameful. Someone (my turn!) should bring this up frequently so we don't get complacent. Anybody want to talk about 'nappy headed ho's'? HA-HA just kidding ;)

Has anyone been to this website? http://www.lubedev.com/smartgas - it's a hoot! Some nutty professor had determined that adding between 2 & 4oz of pure acetone (has to be 100% pure...not the Home Depot variety) to 10 gallons of gas will better cause much better atomization, resulting in less wasted/unburned fuel & an MPG increase of 25% or more. I've been looking for a suitable container to store & dispense the acetone & found two that will be perfect...a 6oz nail polish remover bottle & a 5.25 oz Lucas fuel treatment bottle. The correct proportion when filling a 16.6g c900 tank would be would be about 5oz acetone...I'll post results!
