need help trouble shooting the cruise control Posted by vvack0matic [Email] (#1443) [Profile/Gallery] (more from vvack0matic) on Sun, 17 Jun 2007 21:18:50 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
here is the story:
i had the dash off and had ran very many wires, between alarm brain being hooked up under dash to new stereo speaker wires, and new relays, all this went under the dash,.. yes its a mess of wires now under there.
now installing the speaker wires old wires got cut and pulled
various dead wires that leaded no where got pulled and so on.
a fish tool was used to run many wires down the passenger-side next to the ecu and then to the back of the car, same as the driver side.
aut gauge (0) was ran into the car under the brake master cylinder through the rubber boot then down under the carpet back to the rear seats.
new digital gauge wiring was run through this same boot from the motor to the center council, all the wires had to be run with the fish tool.
i know the cruise control relies heavily on vacuum and brake & clutch switches,
before the install the cruise worked perfect after the it dont.
i checked under the knee bolster and all the vac lines are hooked up, driver side and passenger side (ecu area)
the switches are plugged in and the control center for the cruse in the side wheel well is fine.
what im asking is,.... if there are any wires or vacuum lines that run accost the dash from driver-side to passenger side.
and the one vacuum line that uses the boot (unter the brake master cylender) in the fire wall, i thought was for the boost gauge.
is this vacuum line in-fact for the cruise, (thinking along the line, when the fish tool was pulled out of the boost it may have unintentionally rubbed a hole in the line.)
passenger-side by the ecu, i checked and it looked like all the lines are secure same as driver-side.
i dont think the cruse would have any reason to run wires or a vac. line under and accost the dash but i need to ask.
