NEED EXPERT ADVICE HERE:

The check engine lite came on and has stayed on this am Car was just inspected yesterday and had new exhaust pipes installed from the cat thru the muffler. It has 90,000 orig owner miles well maintained. It is non turbo . I checked owners manual it says either fuel injection system malfunction or problem with emissions control system

I was driving about 2o miles this am when i noticed it on . There was NO dimished performance AT all . The car runs smoothly and no rough periods either under motion or at idle . I've checked all relevant fuses they are ok . No visible disconnects that i can see . I took it back to Monro to see if any problem with pipe connects -none

Under advice I am also disconnecting the battery for a while to see if its just a glitch

ANY ides --what is really puzzling is that the car runs extremly well , i've owned since day one and it is cherry ---------------HELP . I LOVE this car and have an 03 9.3 BUT prefer the look of this old hatchback --please help
