it came brand new in a box Posted by vvack0matic [Email] (#1443) [Profile/Gallery] (more from vvack0matic) on Sun, 19 Aug 2007 15:59:40 In Reply to: Very nice, indeed, RS [Profile/Gallery] , Sun, 19 Aug 2007 15:22:25 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
from e-bay, wanted to get the front & rear airflow bumper covers, so while i was waiting for them to be listed someone sold a brand new still in the marked (Airflow) box airflow arches (four with the original rubber strip and bolts).
so i thought well im going to need them with my soon to be acquired bumper covers.
in the end, i never scored on the bumper covers, and what i started to think was way twisted,..
for me the rear airflow arches looked great with the spg package,
so then i started to think why do i want the bumper covers......
it came down to how the rear bumper looks (with out the chrome strip)
and of course the front has to have a plate of some kind to cover the holes it has.
well after a little more thought the car formed in the mind.
(as for the rear extension bumper pieces,.. in 7 years i owned the car i never even thought of taking them off for any reason.
then it dawned on me to fiberglass the airflow arch into the body of the car along with the rear bumper extension. (pic)
then thought heck while im at it, why not fiberglass the hole rear bumper to take car of the flaws, and of course the front was taken care of.
well this was just in the mind, the real deal took tons of work, however the rear arch is now molded into the body.
check it out ( no seam ) lol i don't know if its just sick or twisted but i like it. :)
i`ll add a pic of the rear bumper
