clutch removal is STILL killing me

hello-
just wanted to post an update on my misadventures in clutch removal.
to recap- my hydraulics are shot. i have used the 3 fat nut method, and have the Saab spacer tool in place. still can't compress the assembly.
with RayF's generous help, i have narrowed down the problem. i seem to be unable to compress the slave cylinder piston. i put a pair of pliers on it, and can spin the piston, but can't get it to go back into the housing.
at this point, i'm on the verge of attempting the Sawzall method, but am hoping that someone has a trick up their sleeve-
thanks,
sam
