The highway acceleration vibration could be one of two things:

1) Tripod bearing grease has become sludgy, due to proximity of the passenger side drive axle to the exhaust downpipe, and needs to be replaced or refilled.

2) Could also be the tripod bearing itself.

OR

3) The inner driver is worn. (these are getting harder to find - Eeuroparts said their source discontinued them, and the dealer replacements are high priced (thank you, GM). I was able to locate a part source for a used (but known good) one.

My 1992 900S CV (at 176k miles) just had to have the inner driver replaced - which solved the problem. While I do a fair amount of DIY, since I don't have a lift, I had my indy repair shop do the work.
