Rough idle problem SOLVED!

This board is great, but I see problems posted, then a lot of suggestions. What I don't see as much of as I'd like is confirmation when a problem is solved! Toward that end, here's my contribution:
I bought a '90 SPG to restore but it's never run as well as my '89T. After days of work, I traced the rough idle/misfire problem to the vacuum hose for the distributor advance being attached to manifold vacuum behind the throttle butterfly. So instead of the vac advance coming into play only at higher rpms, the vac diaphragm was being sucked open at idle, with the result being timing that was far too advanced at idle!
Folks, go out and make sure that your vac advance, if any, is connected from the distributor to the nipple just in front of the butterfly, not behind it!
