The diameter of the wheel has little to nothing to do with interference issues - the consideration is wheel width and offset, which is the same between the two wheels you've mentioned. Given that the outer diameter of the tire is the same (which it should be) the wheels will fit in the same way.
That said, I'm not aware of any 9000 wheels which where 15x6.5". The factory wheels were all 15x6", with the exception of the "Super CS" wheels and the optional 5-spoke alloys which were 15x7".
